We craft purpose, and Domino digs it

If you're an interiors junkie like all of us here at GAIA HQ, you know that Domino is not just a magazine – it's a holy book. You can image the freakout that ensued when we heard they were interested in doing a feature on GAIA in their Spring 2017 issue. *Moment of silence for our cool that was lost.* Plus it was "The Color Issue" and we love all the colors. How. Perfect.

Once the issue dropped, we found ourselves blushing BIG time... "a stylish brand with global appeal"... our products "make you feel happier just by looking at (or wearing) them"... "strengthening the community of women who built it"... THEY SAID THESE THINGS.

All fangirling aside, we are very grateful to Domino for recognizing the incredible business & community we've worked so hard to create, and we are savoring this sweet validation from a group of gals we respect & revere.

Bucket list item achieved.

GAIA in Jenna Lyons' suitcase

The March issue of Condé Nast Traveler features the thrilling tale of Jenna Lyons' recent jaunt through Marfa, TX, and includes the most incredible juicy celebrity tidbit – SHE WORE A GAIA BAG!!!

The fact that she chose to wear a GAIA Pom Pom Bag from our J.Crew x GAIA collab is awesome. The fact that she wore it with a Canadian tuxedo is inspiring. The fact that she wore it in one of the coolest desert hideouts in the U.S. is unreal. The fact that she wore it while hanging with Mark Ruffalo... are there adjectives that describe this?

While our invitation to hang with Jenna Lyons (forget Marfa, we'd take Starbucks!) is probably permanently lost in cyberspace, we are thrilled our Pom Poms got to take that fateful trip.

Thanks for contributing to the employment & empowerment of refugee women in the U.S., Jenna! Much ❤️ from the GAIA Gals!

Flea Style

If you haven't been privy to the growing tchotchke mecca that is Flea Style, boy have you been missing out! What started as a little curated market of local makers, has transformed into an online & brick & mortar store (well, technically stucco), a series of crafty workshops, and a massive bi-annual event that is basically handmade heaven. We rarely take part in events, but we have never missed a Flea Style. This Fall is your next chance to witness the impressive efforts of founder, Brittany Cobb. BE. THERE.

Her blog is featuring the makers & shakers who will be participating in the next show, and we're up! Enjoy this tell-all interview with our Founder, Paula Minnis, to learn "more about starting a business, the challenges of growth and how often she eats dessert." Ha! (She's a babe, so we're reading carefully to do whatever she's doing...)

See you in November at Flea Style!
